Greenways Connect our CommunitiesGreenways are the perfect solution for many of the issues we face in rural and urban Rodney when it comes to connecting our communities and allowing us to safely walk, bicycle and ride around whether it is for school, work or play. The Local Board has started work developing Greenways plans for our communities starting in Wellsford. Kumeu, Huapai and Riverhead are underway and the Warkworth area is to follow closely behind building on the excellent work undertaken by people like Allison Roe. Auckland Council is currently developing a Regional Greenways Network Plan and we want to ensure the Rodney Local Board is right up front of that process to secure budget funding to implement our plans. |
