Putting Rodney First
We believe the Rodney Local Board needs elected representatives that have experience, vision, and are prepared to work hard to put Rodney First.
The Local Board will play a critical role for our community as our area grows rapidly over the next ten years.
Every single Board member needs to be 100% dedicated to achieving the best results for Rodney. This role isn't a hobby or glamour role, it requires hard work, determination, and passion.
Rodney First was founded by four independent Rodney Local Board members who were experiencing growing frustration at the lack of progress with key projects in Rodney. They realised that they would serve you, their community, better if they joined forces on key policies and matters so that there was less bickering and argument at the boardroom table.
Our team comes from a wide range of diverse political and apolitical backgrounds, we are neither left nor right, but focused on what our community is telling us is important.
Our philosophy is to make sure that we have a fully informed democracy when it comes to decisions about how we spend ratepayer's money, and we have worked closely with other members of the board to make sure we listen to the community and achieve what you have asked us to do.
We have formed a team to contest the Kumeu, Dairy Flat, and Warkworth Subdivisions of the Rodney Local Board area to ensure residents have a clear choice for this year's Council elections.
We are not only experienced in governance and local government but are all committed to a set of policies that have been developed from community feedback over the last three years.
It is important for the Rodney Ward's future that its elected members hit the ground running and we believe we offer proven experience to do that from day one.
We need your help to make Rodney a better place to live with stronger local communities and Rodney First Local Board members guiding Auckland Council on your behalf, so vote for Rodney First. Together we will all be Stronger!
